We’re looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to support our Company Store Operations and play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement across the business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role combines hands‑on technical accounting with stakeholder engagement and leadership responsibilities.

What is the role?
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant plays a key role in supporting Company Store Operations by delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial information.
You’ll oversee a Financial Accountant as your direct report, partner closely with the Operations team, and contribute to broader finance projects across the business. Ongoing professional development is supported through exposure to the Financial Controller and CFO, including financial modelling, data and insights, project work, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Financial Management
- Manage General Ledger activities including month‑end accruals, prepayments, and standing journals
- Prepare and analyse monthly Profit & Loss statements
- Complete month‑end balance sheet reconciliations and associated postings
- Present key store P&L metrics weekly to the Operations team
- Manage fixed asset registers and conduct regular reviews
- Prepare monthly payroll tax lodgements, activity statements, and PAYG obligations
- Assist with statutory obligations including FBT, income tax, and transfer pricing support
Management Reporting
- Deliver monthly management reporting with variance analysis
- Support year‑end financial and management reporting, including responding to external audit queries
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for assigned entities
- Provide commercial insights to support income generation and cost control initiatives
Management & Leadership
- Oversee month‑end processes and supervise the Financial Accountant
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore finance teams to ensure efficient and accurate outcomes
- Attend and contribute to monthly P&L review meetings with department leaders
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
Who are we looking for?
You’re a confident and detail‑driven finance professional who enjoys working in a fast‑paced commercial environment. You’re comfortable engaging with non‑finance stakeholders, can clearly explain financial insights, and take pride in delivering accurate, timely outcomes.
You will bring:
- CA or CPA qualification (completed or near completion), ideally with experience from a Chartered Accounting firm
- 3–5 years’ experience in a financial accounting role within a commercial environment
- Proven experience delivering month‑end reporting and statutory obligations to deadlines
- Strong technical capability across balance sheets, P&Ls, cash flow statements, and consolidations
- Experience partnering with operations or non‑finance teams on financial performance and business improvement initiatives
- Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Outlook
- Experience with complex accounting systems, ideally Oracle Fusion
- High levels of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
