Description

Are you a commercially minded analyst who loves turning data into insights that drive growth? Do you enjoy working at the intersection of data, commercial strategy and supplier engagement?

We’re excited to be recruiting for a newly created Category Analyst role, established as part of an evolving business strategy focused on unlocking the value of data, strengthening supplier partnerships, and supporting category growth across our food and beverage network.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with rich data sets, shape how insights are used commercially, and play a key role in developing scalable, value‑added insight products for suppliers.

About the business

Minor DKL Food Group is a leading Australian retail food franchisor and the Australian subsidiary of Thai‑listed Minor International PCL. With iconic brands including The Coffee Club and Veneziano Coffee, and a network of more than 400 stores across 11 countries, we support franchise partners through strong commercial capability, trusted supplier relationships and data‑driven decision making.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, the Category Analyst plays a key role in turning data into commercial impact. You’ll manage and enhance category and supplier data, deliver insightful performance reporting, and uncover opportunities to drive category growth.

This role sits at the intersection of data, analytics, and commercial strategy. You’ll structure and analyse data to support forecasting, reporting, and the development of insight-led products, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to translate data into clear, actionable outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

You will strengthen our data foundations, ensuring product, supplier, and category data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose, while partnering across the business to continuously improve quality.

You will bring data to life through dashboards, reporting, and analysis. This includes uncovering trends, tracking performance, and delivering commercially relevant insights that inform decisions and drive results.

You will also support the growth of our data capability by contributing to our data lake and preparing high quality data assets that underpin insight products and strategic initiatives. Alongside this, you will develop and refine demand forecasts, identifying trends, seasonality, and key drivers.

A key part of the role will be using these insights to strengthen supplier partnerships. You will support joint planning, influence commercial decisions, and identify new opportunities to further leverage and commercialise our data and analytics capability.

About you

You’re a curious, detail‑oriented analyst with strong commercial awareness and a passion for using data to drive growth. You’re comfortable working with large data sets and enjoy explaining insights to non‑technical stakeholders.

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in category analytics, commercial insights or business intelligence
  • Strong data management, cleansing and structuring capability
  • Experience working with dashboards and analytical tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL)
  • Understanding of forecasting and demand planning principles
  • Ability to translate data into actionable commercial insights
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Data Science or Applied Analytics

Why join us?

  • The opportunity to shape newly created senior procurement roles aligned to an exciting business strategy
  • A high-performing procurement function with strong leadership and visibility
