We have a wonderful opportunity for an established ecology leader to join a fast-growing consultancy and help shape EMM’s ecology offering across Australia and globally.

We’ve brought together an amazing team of ecologists, dedicated to leading the way in the assessment of terrestrial and aquatic flora and fauna, navigating development pathways and influencing the development of offset policy. As the Team Manager, here’s what you’ll focus on to have impact:

  • Strategy & Commercial Leadership – you’ll lead the development and execution of the team’s 12‑month plan, aligning with our 5-year strategy. You’ll shape compelling ecology solutions and value propositions to build high‑quality pipeline across key regions and sectors.
  • Markets, Clients & Partnerships – you’ll grow long term relationships with clients, regulators and internal teams and act as a trusted to guide biodiversity legislation and approval.
  • Technical & Delivery Excellence – you’ll maintain technical excellence across ecology, biodiversity assessment, and environmental approval and provide high-level strategic oversight across all types of biodiversity assessments.
  • People Leadership, Growth & Culture – you’ll have the opportunity and time to foster a culture of growth and mentorship; developing Team Leaders and emerging leaders and creating opportunities across the team to develop technical excellence.

  • You’ll have significant experience in leading state significant multi-disciplinary energy, mining and infrastructure projects in NSW.
  • A deep understanding of environmental and planning legislation at NSW State and Federal level and demonstrated success of advising on biodiversity related planning strategies for major projects.
  • You’ve developed strong relationships and networks across the industry and with regulators and built an outstanding reputation for delivering high quality outcomes with integrity, innovation and dedication.
  • BAM accreditation and experience in BDAR/BCAR and biodiversity pathways in NSW is advantageous.
  • Proven people leadership, particularly leading leaders with a focus on mentoring for professional growth.
