Connect people with the support they need—to find a job and keep a job

At Status Employment Services, we know that employment changes lives. As part of the employment journey, our Participants have dedicated support to access employers in their area and community. We know that our Participants often need access to essential supports—housing, financial help, mental health services, as well as a foot in the door to an employment opportunity.

That is where you come in !

We are looking for a Community Connection Specialist to join our team and lead the charge in building strong, effective partnerships with local employers and community organisations. Your background in sales and community services, or both, will help our Participants, people with disability and other barriers to employment, get the support they need to move forward in their lives and into long-term sustainable employment.

The Opportunity:

Our Community Connection Specialists will build and maintain referral pathways with community services to meet our Participants’ diverse needs. You will play a key role in understanding what is happening in the local community by connecting people with the right programs and services whilst working closely with our Employment Coaches to create wrap-around support plans to give people the best shot at securing a sustainable employment pathway. This is a role for someone who is passionate about making connections—with people, with programs, and with possibilities.

About You:

Our successful candidate will bring:

  • a flair for building and maintaining internal and external relationships
  • confidence in applying sales and marketing skills to promote services, engage employers, and identify new opportunities that lead to sustainable job outcomes
  • an enthusiasm to identify opportunities which support people with disability to thrive in their community
  • the ability to work autonomously alongside a high-performing team
  • experience working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • a track record of driving results and achieving performance targets
  • Qualifications in Certificate III in Employment Services, Community Services, Disability Services or similar, or a willingness to complete a formal qualification, fully supported by Status, as part of your employment journey with us
