The Role

We’re looking for a technically confident and commercially minded Pre-Sales Consultant to join our Sydney team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the sales team, customers, and vendors to understand requirements, design tailored solutions and demonstrate how efex solutions deliver real business value. You’ll play a key role from initial discovery through to solution design and handover, ensuring everything is aligned, achievable, and set up for successful delivery.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide pre-sales technical support across Networking, Voice, Security, Cloud, and hosted services
  • Partner with Account Managers to scope and develop tailored IT solutions
  • Gather and analyse customer requirements, working closely with sales, vendors, and clients
  • Design and propose innovative technical solutions aligned with the efex product stack
  • Build bills of materials (BOMs) and supporting solution documentation
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Use your technical expertise to support and guide both customers and internal teams
  • Provide ongoing technical input, training, and updates where required
  • Ensure a smooth and effective handover to project delivery teams

About You

  • Previous experience in a Pre-Sales Consultant or similar technical solutions role
  • Strong ability to generate, propose, and present technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into plain language
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and ability to work collaboratively with sales and technical teams

Technical Knowledge

You’ll bring experience across a broad range of technologies, including:

  • Data centre networking, virtualisation, and cloud computing
  • WAN, LAN, internet services, and wireless networking technologies
  • Network services within a service provider environment
  • Network security, including firewalls and wireless security
  • Voice and unified communications solutions
  • Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace solutions
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery solutions
