About Thrive North Gosford (Koolyangarra)

Our beautiful purpose-built centre was established in 1991 and has long been a cornerstone of the North Gosford community.

With expansive, shaded outdoor play areas, strong family connections, and a passionate team of long-standing educators, Koolyangarra is a place where children feel safe, nurtured, and valued – and where educators feel at home.

About the Roles

We’re on the lookout for an Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma qualified educator to join our team full-time and lead with heart, purpose, and professionalism.

You’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and care, supporting both children and colleagues alike.

We have two leadership roles currently available;

Educational Leader

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Float between rooms, supporting educators in programming and pedagogy
  • Receive a minimum of 8 hours per week non-contact time for office-based responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head of Education and Quality and other Educational Leaders across Thrive

Room Leader

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Have sound knowledge of and demonstrate high-quality practice in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Work in positive collaboration with all members of the team.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents/carers.
  • Actively contribute to the educational program through conversations, observations, and documentation.

You’ll Need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
  • A valid NSW Working With Children Check.
  • NESA Acredition (for ECT)
  • Completed National Child Safety Training
  • Strong understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • A positive attitude and genuine passion for early childhood education.
