The ELO Group is looking for a passionate and motivated Trainee Early Childhood Educator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working with children, is eager to learn, and wants to build a meaningful career in early education.

You will be supported by experienced educators, Room Leaders and the Director/Nominated Supervisor while you complete your recognised early childhood qualification and develop practical skills in a nurturing, professional environment.

About the role

As a Trainee Educator, you will help create a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment where children feel a strong sense of belonging, confidence and wellbeing.

You will work alongside the Lead Educator to support play-based learning, contribute to daily routines, assist with observations and documentation, and build positive relationships with children, families and the wider team.

This role is ideal for someone who is ready to learn, grow and make a genuine difference in children’s lives.

What you’ll be doing

You will be supported to:

  • Develop your skills in early childhood education and care
  • Contribute to a high-quality play-based learning program
  • Support children’s learning, development, wellbeing and safety
  • Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families
  • Assist with routines, room operations and daily activities
  • Learn about the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework and service policies
  • Support inclusive practices that celebrate diversity and each child’s unique strengths
  • Complete your enrolled study requirements in a timely manner

What we’re looking for

  • Are enrolled, or willing to enrol, in a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Have a genuine passion for working with children
  • Are reliable, positive and willing to learn
  • Communicate respectfully with children, families and team members
  • Are committed to child safety, inclusion and high-quality care
  • Hold, or are willing to obtain, a valid Working with Children Check
  • Experience with children (advantageous)
