About Us
Döhler is a global manufacturer of natural ingredients, ingredient systems and integrated solutions for the food and beverage industry. Due to continued growth within our Australian operations, we are seeking a qualified Production/Plant Engineer to plan, coordinate and oversee engineering
activities across our manufacturing plant in Broadmeadows.
This is a hands-on engineering position focused on ensuring the ongoing performance, optimisation and reliability of plant operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role will contribute to both day-to-day plant performance and longer-term engineering improvements aligned
with Döhler’s global standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate engineering activities related to the design, modification,
performance and maintenance of plant equipment and processing systems
- Oversee the operation and continuous improvement of production and processing lines,
ensuring optimal efficiency, output and reliability
- Analyse production data, workforce utilisation and operational workflows to
improve plant performance, reduce waste and optimise OEE
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure
continued performance of equipment
- Support the design, installation and commissioning of new plant equipment, upgrades
and process improvements
- Investigate production and equipment issues using root cause analysis (RCA) and
implement engineering solutions
- Coordinate plant shutdowns, capital works, and maintenance planning activities
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, WHS, GMP, HACCP and food safety regulations
- Liaise with production, quality, and supply chain teams to support effective planning of manufacturing activities
- Monitor utilities, material flows, and plant capacity to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Technology or Engineering
- Demonstrated experience in food, beverage, dairy or process manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of processing systems, filling/packing equipment and plant operations
- Experience in plant optimisation, continuous improvement and engineering-based problem solving
- Exposure to automation, PLC systems and industrial equipment
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
Salary: $80,000 – $90,000
