About the role

The Sexual Harm Practice and Workforce Development Lead will coordinate the implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Sexual Assault Pilot (SAP), part of the Victims Legal Service Extension Pilot (VLSP) Program.

The VLSP is a partnership between Victoria Legal Aid, Women’s Legal Services Victoria and Djirra, delivering free legal advice and support to women who have experienced sexual harm.

Based in the People and Learning team, this role strengthens culturally safe responses for Aboriginal women who have experienced sexual harm, builds workforce capability across frontline and leadership teams, and represents Djirra in external SAP working groups and stakeholder forums.

About You

You are an experienced workforce development or practice leader with strong project coordination skills and a commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe practice. You understand the drivers and impacts of sexual harm, particularly for Aboriginal women, and are confident building capability across frontline and leadership teams.

Experience working with an Aboriginal Controlled Community Organisation (ACCO) is highly valued.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

* Tertiary qualifications in social work, workforce development, education and training or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience.

* A Drivers Licence as this role may be required to travel to other Djirra offices to facilitate training in Victoria
