The Role: Quality Controller (12-Month Maternity Leave Contract)

Based from our Brisbane Head Office, we are seeking a passionate and detail orientated Quality Controller that holds a personal connection to the DISSH brand and values.   

The Quality Controller will perform thorough sample evaluations to ensure every DISSH product meets our consistently high standards.    

 Your new day-to-day:  

  • Responsible for approving all shipment samples in line with approved pre-production and tech pack communication to supplier 
  • Ensuring that quality, fit, colour and labelling are all in line with approval 
  • Responsible for communicating approvals and or quality to supplier for all shipment samples 
  • Follow up with suppliers for the delivery of shipment samples ensuring that these are delivered in line with critical path to avoid bulk product delay 
  • Review final freight rates and communicate any high variation to cost and margin to buyers for approval 
  • Upload all sample photos to the sample boards 
  • Update Style tracker with all shipment sample dates and approval to ship comments  
  • Test and analyse new fabrics  
  • Manage all care labels ensuring all are specific and correctly suited to each style and garment 
  • Create and finalise all care instructions 
  • Additional tasks as directed by the Product Development Manager  

 On your first day we’d expect you to already have:

  • Understanding of garment construction and measurement specs 
  • 1+ years experience in a similar role working in a Production/Garment Technician team 
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Incredibly strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask 
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel 
  • Drive to continuously learn and grow within fashion production
