Field Test Engineer

We are seeking a Field Test Engineer to support mobile network validation activities across LTE and 5G networks. The role involves executing field-based test procedures, validating network parameters, and performing controlled emergency call testing in accordance with approved methods of procedure (MOP). The engineer will work closely with program delivery teams to ensure accurate test execution, artefact capture, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute field-based mobile network testing activities in accordance with approved testing procedures and MOPs
• Perform controlled E000 emergency call validation across LTE and 5G (NSA/SA) networks
• Verify site and cell identification using tools such as GNET Track, including validation of PCI and technology layer
• Confirm the correct test location and network parameters prior to test execution
• Capture required artefacts, including screenshots, timestamps, and call logs, during test execution
• Ensure the correct MSISDN and SIM configuration is used for testing activities
• Provide accurate documentation of test results and submit supporting artefacts within required timelines
• Escalate any network anomalies or test failures to the test lead or program team
• Coordinate with program teams to support pre-change and post-change network validation activities
• Ensure all testing is conducted in compliance with safety and operational guidelines

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in the mobile network field testing or drive testing environments
• Understanding of LTE and 5G mobile network technologies
• Familiarity with radio parameters such as PCI, cell identification, and technology layers
• Experience using mobile network testing tools such as GNET Track or similar applications
• Ability to follow structured testing procedures and methods of procedure (MOP)
• Strong attention to detail in capturing and reporting test artefacts
• Good communication skills for coordinating with remote program teams
