Description

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Front Office Manager to support the day to day leadership of our Front Office team and help deliver exceptional guest experiences from check in to check out.

This is the perfect opportunity for a confident Front Office leader ready to step into a key operational role within a fast paced, premium hotel environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Assistant Front Office Manager, reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, you’ll support the daily operation of the department while acting as a hands on leader across the hotel.

  • Support the Front Office Manager in leading the daily Front Office operation
  • Lead the Front Office team across Reception, Guest Services, and Night Audit
  • Act as senior decision maker in the absence of the Front Office Manager
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and resolve escalated guest concerns with confidence and professionalism
  • Drive service standards, team engagement, and operational consistency across all shifts
  • Assist with training, coaching, and development of Front Office team members
  • Support rostering, shift planning, and departmental administration
  • Monitor arrivals, departures, room allocations, and daily operational flow
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Assist with reporting, handovers, and performance tracking
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous leadership experience in a hotel Front Office environment
  • Proven experience in a Supervisor, Duty Manager, or similar Front Office leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office operations and guest service delivery
  • Confident handling guest feedback, service recovery, and operational challenges
  • A hands on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure
  • Experience with Opera PMS or similar hotel systems preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
