Job Title: Registered Nurse (Palliative Care)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Unit team in Elland, Yorkshire. As a key member of the palliative care team, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients and their families during end-of-life stages. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Skills:
– NMC Registered Nurse – Adult
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospital, hospice, or community palliative care setting
– Excellent communication and empathy skills
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs
– Administer medication and maintain accurate clinical records
– Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
– Supervise Healthcare Assistants and contribute to their professional development
– Collaborate with external agencies, GPs, and community teams for coordinated patient care
Qualifications:
– NMC registration as a Registered Nurse – Adult
– Minimum 2 years of experience in hospital, hospice or community palliative care setting
Please note that willingness to work rotational shifts including nights and weekends is required for this role.
