Disability Support Worker – Remote

The support role involves working with a female participant in her 20s to assist with access to the community, transport, and support around the home to promote independence and meaningful participation in daily life. At present, the position offers approximately 30 hours per week, with shifts currently scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7:00am–9:00am and 3:00pm–7:00pm, and Thursday and Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm or 4:00pm.

The role requires a reliable, honest, and adaptable individual who is able to work flexible hours and across various locations. The successful candidate must have strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and be capable of following participant care plans and directions. A genuine commitment to building meaningful relationships, providing companionship, and supporting people in a respectful, open, and non-judgemental manner is essential. The role also requires a willingness to learn about Aged Care, NDIS, and Mental Health services, while demonstrating empathy, active listening, professionalism, and an understanding of the importance of connection and person-centred support.
