Senior Business Analyst

Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of public sector projects in Australia. This contract position requires a mid-senior level professional who can analyse complex data, provide strategic insights, and facilitate communication between stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to the successful delivery of government initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and public expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive analyses of business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, including business cases, process maps, and user stories.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit feedback and ensure stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of solutions by coordinating with technical teams and ensuring adherence to project timelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the public sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects and delivering results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques is an advantage.
