Description

Are you an experienced hospitality professional with a passion for leadership and guest satisfaction? We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Operational Duty Manager to join our Front Office leadership team at Crowne Plaza Sydney Airport to ensure smooth daily operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This pivotal role acts as the hotel’s point of contact during shifts and plays a key part in ensuring operational excellence, team coordination, and exceptional guest satisfaction.

What you’ll do:

  • Leading the way – managing guest experiences, team performance and hotel operations
  • Supervise and support front desk and service staff
  • Prioritising workload and ensuring your team deliver authentic, memorable experiences
  • Developing your team’s skills to drive results that positively impact on hotel performance
  • Being first point of contact for any critical emergency situations
  • Ensure that all customer needs are met and that customer satisfaction is maintained
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all goals and objectives are met
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Prepare reports and provide updates to senior management as needed

What we’re looking for:

  • Ideally you have experience in a Front Office Supervisory role and are ready to take the next step in your career or a current Duty Manager looking for some different market exposure
  • Eligibility to work full time in Australia
  • Ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues anticipating their needs & promptly managing enquiries
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, reasoning and motivational skills
  • Long periods of standing in the front desk areas and occasional lifting of heavy items
  • Working knowledge of hotel property management systems – Opera preferred
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • First Aid and RSA Certifications are required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
