🏏 Join Cricket Victoria – We’re Hiring a Cricket Manager for our Gippsland region!
Are you passionate about community sport, working with volunteers and increasing junior participation?
We are currently seeking to appoint a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as our Cricket Manager for the Gippsland region. This position will play a critical role in growing sustainable participation, maintaining the delivery of exceptional experiences and supporting the cricket community Associations, Clubs, and school programs east of Melbourne. The region covers the following local government areas: Baw Baw, Latrobe Valley, South Gippsland, Bass Coast, Wellington and East Gippsland.
💪The Role
- Collaborate with Cricket Victoria staff to deliver the Region Plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders like clubs, associations, local councils, and schools.
- Grow participation among key groups, including kids (5–12 years), women and girls, and CALD communities.
- Strengthen club-school connections to help participants move into club cricket.
- Support clubs and indoor centres to deliver quality cricket experiences across all levels.
- Help clubs and associations apply key Australian Cricket policies (e.g. Safeguarding Children, Member Protection, etc.).
- Assist clubs and associations in resolving operational challenges (e.g. competition management, umpire recruitment).
- Integrate and use digital tools like Salesforce and PlayHQ to support operations.
- Identify ways to use the W/BBL’s profile to boost engagement and interest in cricket.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment

- Strong set of personal values
- Solid computer skills using a range of programs including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office Suite
- Availability to work after hours and on weekends, with a willingness and ability to travel for work
Highly regarded:
- Understanding of the sports industry and/or community cricket landscape
- Demonstrated presentation skills
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Sports Management, Teaching, Commercial or related field
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) Certificate (or equivalent) (or arranged on appointment)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
