Description

Credeq is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Director – Portfolio Management to oversee a large and complex global portfolio of insured syndicated and bilateral loan exposures comprising more than 300 transactions across multiple jurisdictions, sectors, and borrower groups.

The role is responsible for the active management, monitoring, risk assessment, and oversight of credit insurance policies provided to banks covering loan facilities extended to corporate borrowers worldwide. The position plays a critical role in protecting portfolio performance, managing deteriorating risks, supporting claims and recoveries, and maintaining strong relationships with banking clients and underwriting partners.

The successful candidate will work closely with origination Directors responsible for business development and transaction structuring, as well as a team of Analysts responsible for the ongoing monitoring and administration of insured transactions.

The role also involves working closely with Portfolio Analysts and underwriting stakeholders to prepare credit submissions, File Notes, underwriting memoranda, and recommendations relating to waivers, amendments, consents, restructurings, and other portfolio-related matters.

This role requires extensive expertise in institutional lending, syndicated and bilateral loan structures, credit risk, portfolio management, distressed assets, restructurings, recoveries, and credit insurance within the global banking and financial risk markets.

The successful candidate will work closely with banks, insurers, legal advisers, restructuring professionals, and internal stakeholders to manage risk exposures and maximise recovery outcomes on behalf of HDI Global Specialty and Credeq’s clients.
