Senior Video Engineer

Description

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, create, and follow schematics, plan drawings and pre-production documentation.
  • Maintain and develop all rental equipment to a high standard and ensure all assets are kept fit for purpose.
  • Ensure equipment is kept updated to the latest manufacturer firmware versions and support the HOD in planning and executing updates.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Technical HODs to ensure projects are specified correctly to CT standards.
  • Liaise with the Prep Technicians, Operations, Project Managers and Technical HODs to ensure equipment is prepped in a timely manner to the highest possible standard.
  • Provide support at client meetings and site visits when required.
  • Take lead on large scale projects and demonstrate a forward-thinking, positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate excellent fault-finding skills.
  • Identify and resolve challenging situations as they arise.
  • Suggest improvements to project specification and ensure projects have the correct equipment for the scope of work.
  • Take lead on equipment preparation for complex projects and supervise the Engineering team.
  • Implement, create, and track laptop and media server re-imaging.
  • Provide suggestions for Capex and keep up to date on evolving technologies and equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is accurately tested on its return to the warehouse and QC standards are met.
  • Ensure your work area is always kept clean and tidy both onsite and at CT premises.
  • Undertake preventative maintenance and create reports when required.
  • Manage the Health the safety of his/ her own health and safety and that of other people who may be affected by their conduct in the workplace.
  • Display a willingness to enhance your technical knowledge both in and out of work.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience on similar position.
  • A proven specialism in multiple key areas of the video discipline.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in a live event environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Barco Event Master
  • Advanced knowledge of Disguise and/or Watchout.
  • Demonstrate the ability to setup complex LED and Projection Systems.
  • Advanced understanding of Networking systems.
  • Advanced understanding of Camera and PPU systems.
  • Understanding of all video format types.
  • Experience leading a team including coaching and mentoring junior members of staff.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy
  • Holds current IOSH working safely, First Aid & Fire Warden training certification
