Position: Accounts Administrator

Employment: Full Time | Monday to Friday

Location: Creation Group, Knockin Industrial Estate, Shropshire, SY10 8ED

Purpose of Role

Creation Group is a full service Brand Experience group and we’re now looking for an Accounts Administrator. As an Accounts Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth and efficient financial operations at Creation. Your dedication to accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to best practice will be instrumental in ensuring the continued success of our company.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Accounts Administrator is responsible for supporting the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and ensuring day-to-day accounting activities run smoothly. The role plays a key part in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency within the accounts department.

What you will be responsible for

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Registering and clearing invoices on the Xero system, including accurate coding
  • Producing and maintaining accurate reports on a monthly and weekly basis
  • Liaising with suppliers and customers regarding payments
  • Responding to internal and external finance queries
  • Analysing costs for internal departments
  • Passing approved invoices for payment
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly payment runs
  • The allocation of payments, credits and amendments
  • Chasing overdue payments and analysing aged debt reports
  • Providing structured updates to your manager
  • General administrative duties such as filing, answering the phone and attending meetings

What we are looking for

The ideal candidate must have great organisational and interpersonal skills, and be able to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues alike. Applicants should enjoy working in a varied and fast paced environment. Above all, the ideal candidate will represent a collaborative, supportive approach to working with internal teams.

Creation relies on numerous cloud based IT platforms to streamline processes and communication across departments and clients, therefore we are looking for a self-starter with a good grasp of IT. You will have:

  • 1-2 years experience in an Accounts Administrator role or a similar position
  • Knowledge of Xero Software
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and Google Sheets
  • A full driving licence
