Data Control Officer

If so, Cordel is seeking a meticulous Data Control Officer to help transform high-volume rail data into quality-assured outputs for customers around the world.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate large-scale data processing pipelines using Cordel’s CLI tools
  • Review data exports, spot defects and fix what you can
  • Use visualisation and analysis techniques to improve QA workflows
  • Log and escalate defects to the Technical Delivery Lead
  • Action items from the Cordel Service Desk and Processing Request Service Desk
  • Upload processed data and notify regional delivery teams or customers
  • Contribute to streamlining and improving data QA processes

What You Bring

  • Experience using Command Line Interface (CLI) tools
  • Background in one or more: LiDAR data, GIS systems, quality assurance, rail engineering, surveying, geoscience or similar technical discipline
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High computer literacy (Google Suite, Atlassian, etc.)
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently
  • A reliable, detail-driven approach – accuracy matters
  • Preferably a tertiary qualification in either Geospatial Science, Surveying, Engineering (Civil,Mechatronics or Software),Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
