Firehouse Subs is coming to Westfield Mt Gravatt and we are building the team to help us become one of the most loved restaurant brands in the country and are seeking a highly motivated full-time Assistant Store Manager to play a key leadership role assisting our Store Manager in the very first opening and to support our ambitious growth plan of over 150 locations in the next decade!
As this is the first location, the Assistant Store Manager will train in an overseas Firehouse Subs restaurant. The successful candidate will have all travel costs covered to train in Jacksonville, Florida for 3 weeks before the restaurant opens. Being able to participate in that training is an essential requirement of the role.
The Role
As the Assistant Store Manager you will support the Store Manager in the performance, presentation and culture of your store. You will help lead from the front, driving sales and operational standards while building a reliable, accountable, and enthusiastic team who demonstrates that customer experience is at the heart of all we do. This role is ideal for a seasoned shift supervisor/2IC ready to make the next move in their QSR career!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver standout customer experiences that drive repeat business
- Help drive and exceed individual and store sales targets and KPIs
- Assist in recruiting and coaching a high-performing team
- Set clear expectations and build a positive, accountable team
- Ensure compliance with rosters, policies and employment legislation
- Maintain brand, safety and cleanliness standards of both Retail Food Group and Firehouse Subs
- Oversee daily reporting, banking and end-of-day procedures
What We’re Looking For
You’re a hands-on retail leader with strong operational discipline and a proven track record of driving shift performance in a fast-food environment. You lead from the front, hold high standards, know your numbers, and build engaged teams that consistently deliver results.
You’ll also bring:
- Demonstrated experience as a Shift Supervisor or 2IC in a high-volume retail, fast-food or QSR environment
- Strong supportive coaching and people leadership skills.
- Confidence using systems to approve timesheets, place inventory orders and assist managing team compliance
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders from team members to Head Office support staff
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and some public holidays.
- Must have ability to travel overseas to Jacksonville, Florida for approximately 3 weeks to complete training in all brand operations
