About the Role:

As a Staff Support Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring quality service delivery by mentoring, developing, and implement a skilled workforce to support participants effectively. This position focuses on staff training, competency assessments, behaviour support administration, and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment aligned with CLA’s vision and values.

We are looking for someone with a passion to train and educate staff who support people with disabilities to achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead bi-weekly staff orientation sessions and buddy shift arrangements.
  • Administer Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP) implementation and liaise with allied health professionals.
  • Facilitate high-intensity and standard training sessions, including competency assessments.
  • Oversee behaviour support reporting, including monthly reports, RP monitoring, QCAT applications, and behaviour tracking.
  • Organise team meetings and provide administrative support for high-intensity plan management.
  • Reflect on data insights to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with CLA’s policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Accurate and timely completion of all documentation and reports.
  • Effective communication and adherence to CLA’s Code of Conduct.
  • Positive feedback from staff and participants regarding support and training.
  • Compliance with behaviour support legislative and procedural requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Yellow Card (Criminal History Screening) and
  • Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
  • Possess a Queensland Drivers Licence.
  • Certificate IV in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or equivalent experience. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
  • Proven experience with PBSP implementation and behaviour support administration.
  • Knowledge of restrictive practices, guardianship legislation, and QCAT processes.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to mentor and support staff.

Highly Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
  • Experience with CRM systems and trauma-informed practices.
  • Expertise in facilitating orientation or buddy shift programs.
  • Possess a Queensland Drivers Licence.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite
