The Role
This is an exciting to lead a diverse range of activities focused on strengthening and
communicating the organisation’s impact.
Reporting to the General Manager, Impact and Strategy, the Impact and Strategy Manager
is responsible for driving government relations, strategic communications, and
communicating impact to advance Community First Development’s influence agenda.
In this role, you will:
- Provide strategic advice and manage government engagement to advance the organisation’s impact and influence agenda.
- Manage major government funding proposals, reporting and relationships, ensuring compliance and streamlined processes.
- Lead strategic communications to implement targeted media and social media strategies that enhance visibility and influence.
- Strengthen organisational influence and impact by developing concise reports, case studies, and briefings.
- Identify and manage activities within the organisation aimed at strengthening community development practice, including monitoring and evaluation.

You are an experienced strategist who understands First Nations contexts and can translate data, policy and community-led priorities into measurable impact.
You will bring:
- Cultural capability and respect for First Nations perspectives and ways of working.
- Ability to translate data, policy and community priorities into measurable impact.
- Confidence engaging across government, partners and communities.
- A purpose-driven, outcomes-focused approach to impact and strategy.
- Demonstrated research and monitoring and evaluation skills.
Desirable:
A formal qualification or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education in social
sciences, monitoring and evaluation, communications, community development or similar.
