Community College Gippsland is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) with a rich history of supporting students to meet their personal and educational goals.

We are seeking an organised and engaging VDSS Coordinator to join our team. The VDSS Program Coordinator oversees the operational aspects of the VDSS programs run through CCG’s RTO across Dandenong and Keysborough.

The Keysborough programs are run in partnership with Keysborough Secondary College (KSC). This role would also be responsible for managing the relationship between CCG and KSC, ensuring that the programs delivered from their campuses meet the needs of KSC and their students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate all aspects of training delivery to secondary school students across ECG’s Dandenong campus and those operating out of the KSC campuses including, VDSS and related programs.
  • Consult and work collaboratively with Keysborough & Dandenong personnel to ensure all programs are designed to meet their requirements, expectations and compliance standards.
  • Identify opportunities and develop project implementation plans to expand the delivery of training programs in both scope and geographic footprint.
  • Monitor and manage support for all students participating in the VDSS programs including those at risk of non-completion.
  • Coordinate and recruit staff to effectively meet program demands, ensuring adequate coverage.
  • Contribute to the design and development of new courses and training models and lead continuous improvement of program delivery based on feedback, data and regulatory changes.
  • Deliver quality accredited and non-accredited training to students in program areas where the incumbent has the required qualifications and experience (adhering to the requirements of the Trainer and Assessor Position Description).

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Sound knowledge of the contract and compliance requirements for VET delivery to secondary students as determined by the VCAA, VRQA, the Department of Education as well as CCG Policies and Procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience working at a senior level with RTO’s and secondary schools.
  • Capacity to think critically and strategically to align operational practice with organisational strategy with a high level of discretion and professional judgement.
  • Workflow management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing or redesigning programs that integrate RTO and school delivery models.
  • Proven ability to operate strategically and autonomously to build new systems, processes, and frameworks in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated effective administration and task organisation skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage diversity of tasks working to strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrable competency in use of Microsoft Office suite and Learning Management Systems (CCG uses aXcelerate and Compass).

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

  • Clear Police check
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Current Permission to Teach – VIT Registration

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Certificate III in a related discipline with relevant work experience AND demonstrated relevant experience in training and assessment.
  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE 40116) is essential.
