🔷 Purpose of the Role

As a Trust Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the integrity of trust accounting processes across the business.

You will ensure all transactions are processed accurately and on time, supporting brokers, underwriters and internal stakeholders while maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.

✨ What You’ll Do

Trust Accounting & Processing

  • Manage daily banking, including online transactions, cheques and credit cards
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy across all accounts
  • Process premium funding calculations, reconciliations and payments

Commissions & Payments

  • Calculate and process broker and authorised representative commissions
  • Manage underwriter reconciliations and payments
  • Prepare reporting to support commission and payment accuracy

Reconciliation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate trust account records in line with compliance requirements
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and processes

Stakeholder Support

  • Work closely with brokers, underwriters and internal teams
  • Provide clear and timely communication on account queries
  • Support continuous improvement in trust accounting processes

💡 What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in accounts, ideally within general insurance or broking
  • Background as an Assistant Broker looking to transition into accounts is highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions
  • Solid Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
  • Understanding of trust accounting principles and compliance requirements (preferred)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
