The opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Business Administration Officer to join CEHL and build a meaningful career with a stable, respected registered housing provider. You’ll be based in Carlton (Vic) and be part of a collaborative and supportive team reporting to a recently promoted manager who is keen to see further success within the team and providing opportunities for growth and development. This role provides business administration and general office support across all areas of CEHL that arise on a cyclical or ad hoc basis as well as acting as the first point of contact for CEHL visitors and triaging tenant queries to support our innovative, renter‑centred housing model that genuinely puts people first.
This permanent, full-time position requires someone who is able to work in the office 4-days per week with 1 day working from home available after completion of the onboarding period (6 weeks) weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Manage correspondence, including emails and mail.
- Triaging tenant calls to ensure they are put through to the most appropriate person.
- Support fleet administration (a current drivers licence is essential)
- Data entry
- Ensuring visitors are looked after upon arrival
- Provide general administrative support to various departments as needed.
- Assisting with event logistics – both internal and external.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in an equivalent-level position ideally within a corporate / housing / real estate or construction environment.
- An understanding of the protocols and requirements of supporting an office environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
