The Position
Colourworks is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Specialist to join our team in our
Newcastle office.
This is a full-time position for a fixed term of 12 months, with the potential for
renewal or transition to a part-time arrangement in the future.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with financial processes, has strong attention
to detail, and is confident communicating with suppliers, clients, and internal
teams.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties for the position include:
- Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Processing high-volume invoices, including matching, coding, and accurate data entry
- Performing bank and account reconciliations
- Managing supplier and client account queries
- Overseeing and managing debtor collections
- Assisting the Finance Manager with weekly payroll processing
- Supporting month-end reporting and general finance administration tasks
About You
Along with a strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role, you’ll have:
- At least 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable / Receivable or a similar finance role
- A high level of accuracy, numeracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team environment
- Hands-on experience with job costing or accounting software systems
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- A willingness to learn new systems and processes
