CoAct is seeking a skilled and people-focused HR Advisor to support our mission by delivering high-quality human resources advice, guidance, and service. This role plays a key part in building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture that enables our leaders and employees to perform at their best.
Working as part of the People & Culture team, the HR Advisor provides timely, practical support across the full employee lifecycle and partners closely with managers to deliver contemporary, compliant and values-aligned HR practices.
Exploring the role
Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide timely, practical HR advice across the employee lifecycle
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, misconduct, grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Manage end-to-end ER case management, including investigations, documentation, outcomes, and recommendations.
- Interpret and apply industrial instruments such as awards, contracts, and HR policies, always ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Coach and support leaders to build capability and confidence in managing ER matters effectively and consistently.
- Support recruitment activities as required including job ads, screenings and onboardings to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Maintain accurate HR records, contracts, variations and employee files in line with governance and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and workforce initiatives.
- Support organisational people & culture initiatives that promote inclusion, wellbeing, engagement and safety.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated experience in an HR advisory or a generalist role.
- Strong ER/IR capability, including case management, investigations, dispute resolution, and documentation.
- Proven ability to provide clear, confident advice and coach leaders through complex and sensitive ER matters.
- Sound working knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments and best practice people management.
- Strong attention to detail with experience managing HR administration, contracts, variations, and employee data.
- Experience supporting end-to-end recruitment processes and onboarding activities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, safe and positive workplace culture.
Qualifications (Essential)
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or Business with related Human Resources components
- Hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent industry experience
