About Climate Friendly
Acting to combat climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges. Climate Friendly was founded in 2003 as a profit-for-purpose business. Our growing team is passionate about active land management, and we are focused on finding economically viable solutions to maximise our impact on climate change.
We are one of Australia’s largest and most experienced carbon farming project developers. This includes more than 190 projects with farmers, plantation managers, agribusiness, and Indigenous groups on carbon farming projects.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Process & Systems Lead to help Climate Friendly transition to a more integrated, enterprise-wide approach to systems, data and workflows. As the organisation grows, decentralised tools and processes are becoming increasingly unsustainable. This role will play a critical part in improving how we operate by reducing duplication, strengthening data integrity, and enabling more effective decision-making.
This is a hands-on role focused on practical delivery, working closely with support functions to redesign processes, optimise systems, and introduce automation and AI where it delivers clear benefit.
About the Role
The Senior Enterprise Process & Systems Lead is responsible for the end-to-end redesign and implementation of cross-functional workflows across support functions. The role acts as a product owner for internal systems, ensuring that business needs are translated into scalable, well-governed solutions.
You will work across Legal, Finance, HR, IT and Commercial teams to improve workflows, align systems, and ensure data flows effectively through the organisation. You will also identify opportunities for automation and AI, prioritising initiatives that deliver measurable productivity, cost, or risk outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Ownership
- Map and redesign end‑to‑end cross‑functional processes across support functions including contracts and legal workflows, employee onboarding and offboarding, IT service delivery, internal prioritisation and approvals, procurement and software lifecycle management
- Identify control gaps across processes, including privacy, AML, approvals, insurance, and role-based access, and embed these controls into workflow design
Systems and Data Architecture
- Analyse how data flows into, through, and out of systems supporting business workflows
- Define a minimum viable, outcome‑driven internal architecture aligned with enterprise platforms
- Ensure systems align with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Yarramaka where they provide clear value
Automation and AI enablement
- Identify opportunities for automation of rules-based, high-volume activities
- Design and implement AI-assisted workflows to improve efficiency and decision-making
- Prioritise AI use cases based on measurable productivity, cost or risk reduction outcomes
Product Ownership and Implementation
- Act as product owner for internal systems and workflows
- Configure, integrate, and optimise systems within approved scope
- Drive adoption, training, and change enablement
Software and Vendor Rationalisation
- Interrogate licence usage and duplication across the organisation
- Recommend retain, retire, or consolidate decisions with clear rationale
- Quantify financial and operational impact to support decision-making
About You
- Proven experience delivering business process redesign through to implementation
- Strong hands-on experience owning and delivering system or platform solutions
- Experience working across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups
- Demonstrated experience implementing AI or automation in real-world workflows
- Understanding of enterprise systems, integration patterns, and data governance
- Strong problem-solving capability with a pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach
- Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions
Desirable
- Experience working within enterprise platforms such as Microsoft 365 ecosystems
- Exposure to system rationalisation or enterprise architecture initiatives
