Full-Time Area Cleaning Supervisor – Blackwater & Bluff

Clean & Cleaner Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a capable and dependable Full-Time Area Cleaning Supervisor to oversee and support our commercial cleaning operations across Blackwater, Bluff and surrounding locations.
This is a varied role covering a widespread service area, from the Blackwater Weir through Blackwater township and out to Bluff. The contract includes public amenities, offices and other commercial and community facilities.
This is a hands-on supervisory position, balanced across cleaning, travel between locations and administrative responsibilities. It is not a desk-based role. You will spend much of your working day outdoors and across public parks, amenities and community facilities.
You will complete some cleaning work independently and also work alongside employees as part of a team, while providing practical supervision, training and support.
About the role
The position is primarily Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required to cover employee leave, absences or other operational requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising cleaning services across Blackwater, Bluff and surrounding locations
- Travelling between offices, public amenities, parks and other community facilities
- Completing scheduled commercial cleaning duties, both independently and as part of a team
- Working alongside employees while providing practical supervision and direction
- Managing, supporting and training cleaning employees
- Assisting with onboarding and workplace training
- Monitoring employee performance, attendance and service delivery
- Providing clear and respectful feedback to employees
- Receiving and responding professionally to feedback from management and clients
- Conducting inspections and quality-control checks
- Ensuring cleaning specifications and client requirements are consistently met
- Managing cleaning supplies, equipment and stock levels across the area
- Reporting maintenance, safety and service issues
- Responding to staffing gaps and operational changes
- Communicating regularly with operations and management
- Completing administrative tasks associated with the role
- Using online applications for rostering, checklists, reporting, communication and training
- Ensuring company procedures, safety requirements and quality systems are followed
Essential requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience in a supervisor, team leader or similar people-management role
- Previous commercial cleaning experience
- Demonstrated experience managing, supporting and training employees
- A current manual driver’s licence
- Confidence travelling between multiple work locations throughout the day
- Competence using smartphones, tablets and online applications
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to give and receive feedback professionally
- The ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
- Good attention to detail and a consistently high standard of work
- A reasonable level of fitness and physical capacity to perform commercial cleaning duties
- The ability to work outdoors and in public parks and amenities for much of the day
- Availability to work Monday to Friday
- Availability for occasional weekend coverage when required
- The right to work in Australia
Experience in contract cleaning, local government facilities, public amenities or multi-site operations will be highly regarded.

This position primarily supports an existing regional cleaning contract that is currently operating under an extension. Clean & Cleaner is recruiting now to strengthen local supervision and service delivery. As with commercial contract roles generally, future operational arrangements remain subject to the continuation and requirements of the client contract.
