We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to join our Bacchus Marsh depot.

The Position

Based in Bacchus Marsh the position will be tasked with the responsibility of rostering drivers and monitoring bus services to ensure on time running.

This role will have hours rostered Monday to Friday between 6am – 6pm and every 4th week to be on call after hours (8pm – 6am) and all weekend.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be required to perform the following:

  • Work closely with the Operations team to coordinate driver shifts and manage day-to-day changes
  • Oversee private school services between Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat
  • Manage student lists, liaise with parents about payments, and handle student behaviour concerns.
  • Prepare and coordinate monthly operational reports.
  • Conduct onsite safety audits and champion a strong culture of hazard identification and reporting.
  • Ensure staff compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and government legislation (fitness for duty, fatigue management, incident reporting, pre-departure checks, and more).
  • Provide timely and accurate charter quotes to external customers.
  • Communicate effectively with the Workshop and General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
  • Help drive a strong culture of safety and customer service across the business

To be successful in this role you will need to have;

• Experience in transport industry or rostering experience

• Attention to detail and high levels of energy

• The ability to prioritise, multi-task and follow through on required actions

• Ability to build relationships at all organisational levels and with external stakeholders

• Previous experience in staff supervision and a passion for people and a positive and professional attitude.

• Intermediate Microsoft Office and data entry skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).

It would be advantageous to have commercial bus driving experience or be willing to obtain a truck licence and bus Drivers Accreditation. The incumbent will be required to provide on-call support to staff on a rostered basis.
