💼 About the Role

This is a 6 month parental leave contract with the exciting potential to extend beyond the initial term.

As our Finance Officer, you’ll be the steady financial heartbeat of the Centre. Working closely with our leaders and the Board, you’ll ensure our organisation remains sustainable, compliant, and well‑positioned for continued community impact.

This is a meaningful leadership role where your work directly helps us continue providing accessible, high‑quality education to local families.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and annual budgets
  • Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with all taxation and reporting requirements
  • Support grant applications, funding submissions and audits
  • Guide staffing budgets and HR financial considerations
  • Build strong relationships with auditors, funding bodies and suppliers
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape long-term financial strategy

⭐ What You’ll Bring Essential:

✔ 3+ years’ experience in finance management

✔ Qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related field

✔ Strong payroll, budgeting and compliance knowledge

✔ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

✔ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Desirable:

✨Experience in education or not‑for‑profit sectors

✨Knowledge of CCS and government funding processes
