We’re on the lookout for a reliable and enthusiastic Trades Assistant to support our workshop and field service teams. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic to build their career in the industrial equipment rental sector.
The Role
As a Trades Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Mechanical Fitters and Service Technicians to help maintain, prepare, mobilise and potentially operate rental equipment within your competency. No two days are the same – from cleaning gear and organising parts to assisting in basic repairs, it’s varied, active role. Training opportunities to support your development as a valuable member of our mech services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, servicing, and maintenance of equipment
- Clean, inspect, and load/unload gear for jobs
- Complete workshop and yard organisation
- Support the team with tooling, parts, and general mechanical duties
- Follow safety procedures and contribute to a tidy, compliant workspace
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in an industrial/workshop environment (is advantageous but not essential)
- Previous experience in a Trade Assistant role will be advantageous but not essential
- HRWL – Forklift licence + Confined Spaces ticket
- Driver’s licence
- Full Australian Work Rights
