Cell Engineering is an Australian-based electrical engineering company specializing
in the design, development, and implementation of electrical engineering solutions. We are seeking a motivated Electrical Design Draftsperson to join our Brisbane team to translate engineering concepts into detailed production drawings and support our operational requirements.
In this role, you will leverage expertise across sectors including Mining, Infrastructure and
Renewable Energy to “Lead Engineering Excellence”.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
- Generate detailed production drawings for LV/HV switchboards and control panels.
- Perform electrical calculations including voltage drop, cable sizing, and fault currents
- Create single-line diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, termination schedules, and layout drawings.
- Collaborate with civil and mechanical designers to ensure there are no spatial clashes in building or plant layouts
- Draft Scopes of Work (SoW), reports, specifications, and equipment specifications.
- Manage and report on projects while ensuring all documentation is maintained at a high professional standard.
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients while participating in CRM systems.
What you will bring to the Role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential for this role.
- Experience with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical for schematics is highly preferable.
- Detailed knowledge of Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439, and AS 2067.
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in the industry is ideal.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical schematics and symbols.
- An Advanced Diploma or associate degree focusing on Electrical Engineering Technology is the ideal qualification.
- Candidates who have completed an Electrical Apprenticeship or Electrical Cadetship are also highly encouraged to apply.
