We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to lead day-to-day production operations within our fast-paced industrial textile manufacturing environment. This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives on the factory floor — who isn’t afraid to jump in, solve problems and work alongside the team to get the job done, while driving safe, efficient and high-quality production outcomes.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Production Operations Manager, you will oversee a small team of production employees, ensuring quality, safety and output targets are consistently achieved. You will coordinate labour and workflow, address production challenges and foster a positive, accountable team culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and work side-by-side with production staff to meet daily output targets
• Allocate labour and resources to meet production schedules and KPIs
• Monitor output, downtime, and rework, taking corrective action where required
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
• Troubleshooting production issues, delays, and bottlenecks as they arise
• Training new starters and mentoring less experienced team members with on-going skills and development
• Provide continuous on-the-job coaching, training, and performance feedback
• Maintain clear communication between teams, maintenance, and management
• Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards
About You:
• Previous experience supervising or leading teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Comfortable working with production targets, reporting, and basic systems
• A practical, hands-on approach with strong floor presence
• Ability to earn respect through action, consistency, and fairness
• Strong people leadership skills with a practical, fair, and consistent approach
• Comfortable making decisions and taking responsibility for outcomes
• Ability to problem-solve under pressure and make sound decisions on the floor
• Solid understanding of OHS requirements in a production setting
• Trade background or technical experience (desirable but not essential)
What We Offer:
• A hands-on leadership role
• Stable, full-time employment with an established business
• Supportive leadership team and clear reporting structure
• Opportunity to make a real impact on production outcomes and team culture
• Competitive salary based on experience
If you’re a practical leader who leads from the front and takes pride in building a strong production team, we’d love to hear from you.
