Description

We currently have a great opportunity for a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team at our BPX Southampton Branch (SO50 4NU). We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person to join our friendly team.

This is a full-time, permanent contract working 37.5 hours per week. The hours of work are 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with a one-hour break.

What will you be doing?

As our delivery driver/warehouse operative you will be responsible for multi-drop deliveries to our customers. In addition, you may be required to support the warehouse team in assisting with incoming deliveries and outgoing order picking.

The main duties will include:

• Picking, processing and preparing orders, ready for delivery

• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

• Delivering excellent customer service, following BPX standards

• Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results

• Delivering multi-drop orders to our customers using our company van

• Ensuring the van is kept roadworthy by reporting any accidents or repairs

• Any other duties requested by the Manager.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

To join our team we are looking for a person who:

• Has experience of working in a warehouse and multi-drop deliveries

• Has an outgoing, positive and professional attitude

• Has good day to day planning capabilities, this will be essential for the candidate to be successful in this role

• Is able to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments

• Is conscientious with good attention to detail

• Trustworthy and reliable at all times

• Full clean UK driving licence preferred

• Some electrical knowledge is desirable
