The Role
Working across the full development lifecycle, you will help shape project strategy, drive strong stakeholder engagement and deliver high-quality outcomes that align with commercial, operational and sustainability objectives.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will play a key role in managing governance, risk, financial performance and project reporting, while partnering with internal teams, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders to deliver the project on time, within budget and to a high standard.
The Development Manager will:
- Lead the delivery of development projects from planning and approvals through to construction, completion and handover.
- Manage project governance, reporting, budgets, cash flow, feasibility, risk and programme performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, authorities, joint venture partners and other key external stakeholders.
- Drive commercial outcomes by identifying opportunities, recommending delivery strategies and supporting strong project profitability.
- Support a collaborative, high-performing project environment and contribute to continuous improvement across development delivery.
What we are looking for:
- 5 years + experience in property development or related property experience, with demonstrated capability at each phase of the development lifecycle
- Tertiary qualifications in a property-related discipline such as Property, Commerce, or Construction Management.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience with project feasibility, budget management, financial reporting and risk management.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and influence a broad range of stakeholders, internally and externally
- Experience in the development sales and marketing process
- Working knowledge of building services
- A passion for property development and a desire to deliver high-quality outcomes
- A natural curiosity for driving improvements and innovations in workflows and systems
- Demonstrated experience working with Development systems (experience using MRI, Concur, Estate Master, Property Shell would be a strong advantage).
