Management Accountant

Location: Southampton

Employment: Full-time

Hybrid: Minimum of 50% working hours to be spent in the office

Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £42,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending upon experience

About the role

PBS4 is looking to expand within its Finance team due to continued growth of the organisation. We are looking to appoint a qualified Management Accountant, reporting directly to the Financial Controller and working alongside our Assistant Management Accountant, who will be able to support with key accounting tasks; these include supporting, monitoring, and reporting on the financial stability and sustainability of the organisation as we continue to grow and deliver on our proposed strategy.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, variance analysis and reporting.

• Budget preparation and forecasting for specialist areas and projects.

• Monitoring the appropriateness, and levels, of spend across the organisation.

• Maintaining financial compliance in line with financial regulations and internal policies.

• Balance sheet reconciliations.

• Support the Finance team with process improvements and system enhancements/changes, if appropriate.

• Maintain accurate and timely financial records for reporting purposes.

• Providing bespoke reports as requested by the organisation.

• Ad-hoc financial tasks as requested by the Financial Controller.

The Successful Applicant

A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).

• Two years’ experience of working in a similar role

• Good systems experience.

• Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
