The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing community based occupational therapy interventions for a wide range of client groups including those receiving:

  • Commonwealth Home Support Funding
  • Support at Home Funding
  • National Disability Insurance Services Funding
  • Private Fee for Service Clients

Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Home based occupational therapy assessments including all areas of activities of daily living, mobility, and home safety
  • Client assessment, intervention and report writing
  • Equipment applications for government equipment programs
  • Minor and major home modification recommendations with relevant diagrams
  • Communicating assessed needs clearly and precisely to clients

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant degree with minimum 1yr experience
  • Registered Occupational Therapist with Occupational Therapy Board and AHPRA (and ability to maintain registration)
  • Current C or CA class Driver’s license

Core Competencies:

  • Ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate plans for interventions and equipment for clients
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and providing reports relevant to the role
  • Ability to implement recommendations
  • Professionally work with internal and external stakeholders to meet client needs
