The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing community based occupational therapy interventions for a wide range of client groups including those receiving:
- Commonwealth Home Support Funding
- Support at Home Funding
- National Disability Insurance Services Funding
- Private Fee for Service Clients
Services include, but are not limited to:
- Home based occupational therapy assessments including all areas of activities of daily living, mobility, and home safety
- Client assessment, intervention and report writing
- Equipment applications for government equipment programs
- Minor and major home modification recommendations with relevant diagrams
- Communicating assessed needs clearly and precisely to clients
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant degree with minimum 1yr experience
- Registered Occupational Therapist with Occupational Therapy Board and AHPRA (and ability to maintain registration)
- Current C or CA class Driver’s license
Core Competencies:
- Ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate plans for interventions and equipment for clients
- Demonstrated experience in developing and providing reports relevant to the role
- Ability to implement recommendations
- Professionally work with internal and external stakeholders to meet client needs
