This role reports into the parish priest and works collaboratively with the Parish Priest, Parish Council, Parish Staff and Volunteers to grow the evangelisation culture and practice of both parishes.

What You’ll Do
As our Evangelisation Leader, you’ll play a vital role in deepening and expanding our parish’s mission to share the Gospel. Since beginning our Evangelisation journey in 2022, we have built a strong foundation through Alpha, and now we’re ready to grow further. You’ll lead this next chapter by developing new pathways for faith, connection, and community.
Evangelisation
- Lead and grow our Alpha program, including volunteer recruitment, training, and leadership development.
- Form an Evangelisation Team and create a parish-wide plan that integrates Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship, and Service.
- Expand evangelisation through small groups, youth leadership, and school family engagement to foster deeper faith and connection to parish life.
Discipleship
- Develop clear pathways for lifelong faith formation (e.g. Connect Groups, Bible Study).
- Align Worship, Ministries, and Sacramental Programs with the parish’s evangelisation efforts.
Worship
- Support clergy and liturgical ministries to reflect evangelisation themes in worship.
- Enhance worship practices and music to deepen spiritual engagement.
Other Responsibilities
- Manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Attend relevant conferences and contribute to broader parish initiatives as needed.
What you’ll bring
- You have a deep personal commitment to the Catholic faith and alignment with its teachings and values.
- You bring 5+ years’ experience in parish ministry or a similar faith-based role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related field is preferred.
- You bring an understanding of the cultural and social dynamics affecting young people, families, and emerging generations—and bring a thoughtful approach to engage them meaningfully.
- You have strong knowledge of Alpha as a tool for evangelisation.
- You’re confident using Microsoft 365 and modern communication tools, and open to learning new technologies.
