The Position

We are seeking a proactive Paralegal to join our Sydney office, supporting our General Liability and Professional Liability teams.

In this role you will work under the supervision of three partners across our GL and PL teams, assisting with a broad range of legal and administrative tasks. Your role will include:

  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence
  • Preparing research memos for senior work authors
  • Preparing briefs for counsel and managing matter lifecycles
  • Coordinating compliant documents and correspondence
  • Diary management, travel booking and handling of telephone calls
  • Assisting work authors with expense claims and monthly billing
  • Conducting conflict searches
  • Providing general administrative support to the team as required

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A proactive, positive and responsive approach
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to prioritise and adapt to changing deadlines with limited supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with internal and external clients
