Join a Growing Transport & Logistics Team
Cartage Australia is a rapidly growing transport and logistics company providing reliable delivery and fleet solutions across Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated Recruitment & Driver Onboarding Officer to help attract, onboard and support professional drivers joining our network.
This is a hands-on role that sits at the heart of our operations, ensuring we recruit quality drivers and provide a smooth onboarding experience from application through to being road-ready.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process for drivers and transport personnel.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing driver recruitment campaigns across SEEK and other platforms
- Screening applications and conducting phone interviews
- Scheduling and coordinating face-to-face interviews
- Performing reference checks and employment verification
- Managing driver compliance documentation and records
- Coordinating medicals, police checks and licence verification
- Conducting onboarding sessions and inductions
- Preparing employment and contractor documentation
- Maintaining accurate records within internal systems
- Supporting workforce planning and driver retention initiatives
- Assisting with HR administration and employee documentation
- Working closely with Operations to ensure staffing requirements are met
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR administration, onboarding or workforce coordination
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage compliance documentation
- Confidence engaging with a diverse workforce
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and online recruitment platforms
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within transport, logistics, labour hire or blue-collar recruitment will be highly regarded
