About Carers NT

Carers NT is a not-for-profit community-based organisation and charity dedicated to improving the lives of family carers living in the NT.

Position Responsibilities

• Preparation of fee for service and NDIS invoices, manage claims and monitoring of plan funding and fee for services invoices.

• Day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions ensuring completeness and timeliness of payments.

• Payroll processing ensuring compliance with SCHADS (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services) Award and enterprise agreement.

• Supporting the Finance Manager and the finance team generally.

• Reconcile the general ledger account to ensure validity and accuracy.

• Review cash activities within the company ensuring appropriate internal financial controls exist and where identified, implement initiatives for improvement.

• Facilitate the investigation and timely resolution of variances.

• Conduct cut-off processes at the end of each month.

• Review and understand the process underlying the recording of debits and invoices.

• Review aged debtors reports on a weekly basis.

• Assistance with audit procedures and queries

• Issue invoices on behalf of the company and ensure prompt payment of the same.

• Maintain the company’s fixed asset register and inventory.

What we are looking for?

The successful candidate will be switched on and able to jump right in. There is a significant amount of interaction with key stakeholders across the business, so strong and clear communication is a must. Other key requirements for the successful individual include

  • Demonstrated high level oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft products, and in particular a high level of competency using Excel and its advanced features.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with strong IT and analytical skills to extract, analyze and report key data in a meaningful way
  • Current Working with Children Card, Criminal History Check, and NT Drivers Licence is the requirement for the role.
