The Role

As a Senior Employment Coach, you’ll be part of our Employment Services Team, supporting people with disability to achieve their vocational goals. Reporting to the Employment Supports & Outcomes Manager, you’ll work closely with supported employees, operational teams, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality, person-centred employment supports.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role where you’ll make a tangible impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Support & Vocational Development

  • Support employees to identify and achieve vocational goals
  • Participate in interviews, inductions, work trials, and wage assessments
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support
  • Deliver high-quality case notes and documentation
  • Support offsite work experiences and open employment pathways

Planning & Training

  • Administer Employee Assistance Plans and conduct reviews
  • Identify and deliver training needs, including “off-the-job” sessions
  • Assist in developing training strategies to improve outcomes

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and relevant legislation
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal teams and build strong external relationships
  • Foster a culture of inclusion and cooperation

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Lead by example and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Support team performance and continuous improvement

Health & Safety

  • Promote safe work practices and engage in risk management

Other Duties

  • Represent cape positively in external interactions
  • Support transport of employees using cape’s minibus
  • Undertake other duties as directed

What You’ll Bring

  • Certificate IV in Disability and/or Training & Assessment (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and employment supports
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • Current Victorian driver’s licence
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check
