We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Data & Systems Engineer to design, build and optimise Cannatrek’s enterprise data platform.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for establishing a scalable, reliable and well-governed data ecosystem across our core business systems — including ERP, CRM and eCommerce platforms.
You will play a critical role in enabling a single source of truth across the organisation, supporting better decision-making, operational efficiency and future innovation (including automation and AI).
What You’ll Do
Own the Data Platform
- Design and optimise Cannatrek’s data architecture, models and storage across cloud and on-prem environments
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across ERP, CRM, eCommerce and other systems
- Ensure data integrity, reliability and availability across all datasets
- Monitor performance and continuously improve scalability and efficiency
Drive Data Governance
- Establish and enforce data governance standards (quality, lineage, security, access)
- Create a consistent “single source of truth” across key business domains
- Identify and resolve data quality issues proactively
Enable Reporting & Insights
- Partner with BI and business teams to structure data for reporting and analytics
- Design data models to support accurate and efficient reporting
- Enable flexible data access across tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and use cases
Build & Integrate
- Develop scripts, services and applications to support pipelines and automation
- Support system integrations (APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures)
- Work closely with vendors and partners to deliver robust solutions
Collaborate & Influence
- Work across Technology, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations
- Translate business needs into technical solutions
- Provide documentation, training and guidance to ensure adoption
About You
You’re a technically strong, commercially minded data engineer who enjoys building systems that actually get used.
Experience
- 8+ years in data engineering, data architecture or integration roles
- Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, ECS, RDS)
- Deep understanding of ERP, CRM and eCommerce data ecosystems
- Proven experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
- Strong programming capability (Python, SQL, JavaScript or C#)
- Experience with APIs, microservices and modern software practices (CI/CD, testing)
