The opportunity
Are you a creative and organised marketing professional who wants your work to make a real
difference?
We’re looking for a creative, proactive and detail-orientated Marketing & Communications Officer to help share our story, engage supporters and amplify our impact. Working closely with our marketing team, you’ll help bring powerful stories to life, deliver meaningful campaigns, and contribute to our vision of a cancer-free society.
In this role, you’ll help plan and deliver engaging campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels, making sure our message reaches the right people at the right time. You’ll support both internal and external communication and provide strong administrative support to help keep our
marketing initiatives running smoothly.
Based in Subiaco, this position is full time, fixed term contract until 11 December
2026, with possibility of extension. If you’re passionate about storytelling, digital marketing and meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Schedule and monitor social media content
- Support internal and external communications
- Assist with marketing and communication campaigns
- Monitor email inboxes and manage unsubscribe requests
- Help coordinate marketing campaigns and awareness initiatives
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications
- Track campaign performance and help report on marketing results
- Support ongoing improvement to marketing activities and outcomes
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or similar
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail, organisational and time management skills (resourceful,
proactive, initiative) and the ability to meet competing and tight deadlines
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365 applications, and other databases
- Understanding of social media management (Highly desirable)
- Experience in delivering internal and external communication (Highly desirable)
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
- Positive approach to the workplace
