Campbell Property Group (CPG), one of Australia’s leading residential construction and property development companies, is looking for a detail-oriented Production Estimator to join our team at our Norwest Head Office.
As a Production Estimator, you will:
- Meticulously measure and quantify material required to prepare a Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
for the release of purchase orders required to complete the build of a home
- Prepare and report on margins
- Monitor Extras to Schedule (ETS)
- Problem solve on-site issues in collaboration with the construction team
- Collaborate across various departments, providing buildability insights
- Address supplier queries
- Ensure accuracy and compliance throughout the workflow processes through your meticulous approach to documentation
What you will do?
- Interpret internal documents, working drawings, colour selection documents, and other
contract supporting materials, ensuring accuracy in preparing BOQs
- Critically evaluate modifications for construction constraints and buildability, cross-check documentation, apply council regulations, and determine site costs accurately
- Perform pre-estimates, final consols and monitor related extra’s to schedules
(ETS) to accurately report margins and discrepancies
- Quantify plans and generate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), generate purchase
orders, and ensure their distribution
- Request and review quotes from vendors, assessing their compliance with the
required scope and determining successful quotes
- Collaborate effectively to troubleshoot and resolve preconstruction and on-site issues,
supporting the Site Manager and Customer Service Consultants (CSCs) in
addressing customer queries and communicating with external contractors/vendors
where required
- Provide insightful information on buildability to various departments and
promptly respond to supplier queries
- Produce precise Bills of Quantities (Production) and Start Margin Sheets (Production),
contributing to the overall accuracy and efficiency of project documentation
- Update and manage workflow priorities
- Accurately manage all documentation
- Provide workflow reporting to track progress
About you?
We are looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in a residential building estimating role
- Trade background or other qualifications in estimating
- Onsite experience (Desirable)
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver
