The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Leading Hand Carpenter to work on premium residential builds across the Northern Beaches.
In this hands‑on role, you’ll lead a small on‑site carpentry team, working closely with the Senior Site Manager to deliver high‑quality outcomes on architecturally detailed projects. You’ll play a key role in setting standards on site, mentoring others, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to an exceptional finish.
Your Day‑to‑Day
- Lead and coordinate a small team of Carpenters and Apprentices
- Work closely with the Senior Site Manager to deliver the build program
- Interpret architectural drawings and construction documentation
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, professional site culture
About You
You’re a capable, motivated Leading Hand who values quality and detail. You enjoy leading by example and take pride in delivering beautifully finished homes.
- Qualified Carpenter with experience in high‑end residential construction
- Confident leading and mentoring a small on‑site team
- Strong understanding of plans, programs and build sequencing
- Comfortable coordinating subcontractors and site logistics
- Own complete set of powered and hand tools
- Reliable, organised and solutions‑focused
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Carpenter
- White Card (General Construction Induction)
- Current driver’s licence and own vehicle
