The IJM Australia Advancement Office was established in 2014 to fuel IJM’s global mission by mobilising Australians’ resources and influence to protect people living in poverty from violence.

The Need

For over 28 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. Nine out of nine times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50% and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Senior Coordinator, Partnerships to support the team to effectively cultivate donor relationships and achieve fundraising objectives.

This position is based in Sydney – Australia, Hybrid, and reports to the Chief Partnerships Officer.

Job Brief:

Overview:

The Senior Coordinator, Partnerships will support the Chief Partnerships Officer and Partnerships Team to grow IJM Australia’s revenue streams and expand partnerships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, churches/community partners and influencers. They will expand partnership opportunities through prospect research, engagement and professional fulfilment of partnership benefits. The Senior Coordinator will support strategic initiatives and collaborate across teams to ensure effective and efficient process management. They will provide administrative support for the Partnerships Team across proposal development, annual/quarterly team planning, reporting, tracking revenue against budget and ensuring effective weekly team meetings.

The success of this role is measured by the following KRAs:

1. Support the Chief Partnerships Officer to streamline processes, procedures and communications to ensure effective engagement with supporters to achieve annual goals.

2. Expand the pool of corporate and foundation partners through prospect research and ensure the professional fulfilment of benefits for corporate partners and effective cultivation.

3. Support the Partnerships Team with trip planning, manage international visitor trips and appointment scheduling.

4. Assist in managing donor data in Salesforce including segmenting donors and prospects for strategic campaigns, and collaborate with the Business Intelligence team on data hygiene and reporting needs.

5. Support the donor events strategy and planning in collaboration with the Partnerships Team and Events & Marcomms Coordinator.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Strategy, Knowledge Development & Implementation:

1. Work closely with the Chief Partnerships Officer to build a robust corporate partnerships program.

2. Support the rollout and implementation of an effective workplace giving strategy.

3. Support the Partnerships Team to deliver a high-impact strategy and donor focused engagement approach through efficient administration and process coordination.

4. Work closely with the Business Intelligence Team to segment donor profiles for effective research and analysis purposes.

5. Support the team in donor retention and acquisition strategies and ensure donors are stewarded with the highest levels of integrity and transparency.

6. Work with the Partnerships Team and Marketing & Communications Team to grow the donor portfolio actively via research for potential supporters within the mass-donor segment.

Communication:

1. Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Team, Advocacy Team and Business Intelligence Team to ensure timely donor communications, reporting and professional event planning.

2. Work with selected Peer to Peer donors and provide support for individual fundraisers in collaboration with the Director of Engagement.

3. Preparation of PowerPoint presentations for donor and corporate meetings and events.

Administration:

1. Ensure the smooth daily operation and efficiency of the Partnerships Team.

2. Provide administrative support to the Chief Partnerships Officer including meeting scheduling, planning and preparation for meetings/events, supporting implementation and follow through on corporate actions and activities.

Documentation, Reporting & Data Management:

1. Prepare reports on Partnerships Team KPIs and progress with the support of the Business Intelligence Team, including monthly reports for the CEO and supporting the preparation of Board Fundraising Committee quarterly reports.

2. Support the revenue and expense budget planning and tracking process.

3. Ensure data hygiene and support Salesforce administration, including logging selected donor interactions pre and post events.

4. Providing research documentation for events.

General Tasks:

1. Participate in IJM staff activities, events and community of spiritual formation.

2. Actively participate in Partnerships Team and organisation-wide meetings, contributing to strategy development and planning.

3. Execute work tasks in compliance with IJM standards, policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Arts or related field preferred.

• General understanding and experience in a fundraising or sales environment preferred.

• 2-3+ years of proven experience delivering results in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Technical Competencies:

• Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

• High level administrative skills and strong attention to detail.

• High level written and verbal communication skills.

• Salesforce experience a plus.

Non-Technical Competencies:

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Self-motivated, organised and disciplined to work independently and as part of a team.

• Capacity to learn, think creatively and problem solve quickly.

• Interest in non-profit sector and globally minded.
